Server and Barista - Baker's Crust Bagel

Baker's Crust Bagel in Virginia Beach is looking for passionate food and hospitality team members!

As a Server and Barista, you would report directly to the Manager. You would be responsible for generously and hospitably providing service to any Baker’s Crust Bagel guest, aiding in order placement, clarification, and assistance with product questions or recommendations. You would also be responsible for the preparation of coffee and coffee-adjacent beverages for all customers following Baker’s Crust Bagel specifications and safety, sanitation, and proper food handling guidelines. You would also maintain a clean, sanitary, safe and positive, team-oriented work area in a fast-paced environment, while providing superior guest service.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials, menu changes, and promotions.
  • Know all Baker’s Crust Bagel food and beverage menus.
  • Be ready and willing to assist fellow team members and management as needed.
  • Exhibit excellent people skills with a friendly attitude.
  • Demonstrate attention to cleanliness and safety.
  • Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude.

Requirements

  • Skilled listener and effective communicator.
  • Maintain proper uniform standards.
  • Ability to stand and walk for 6 to 8 hours, lift up to 25 lbs., and work in confined spaces.
  • Understanding of food service health and safety rules.
  • Ability to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work.

Pay

  • $18-21 per hour, including tips
